Meet Cindy Blacklidge, LCSW

Virtual therapy in Virginia, Missouri & Mississippi.

“It takes courage to start therapy. Being here shows how brave you are.”

Cindy Blacklidge, LCSW

Life feels heavier than it used to.

You can’t quite put your finger on it, but something feels off. Maybe it’s the way you dread going to work or the heaviness you feel before heading home. Or how the things that used to bring you joy—spending time with loved ones, socializing, or even just relaxing—don’t seem to fit anymore. You’re trying to keep it all together, but the overwhelm is creeping in.

Perhaps you’re navigating a big life transition—retirement, becoming a parent, or another major shift—and you feel unsteady, like the ground keeps shifting beneath you.

Somewhere along the way, you’ve lost a part of yourself. Life feels out of balance, and no matter how hard you try, it’s difficult to find your footing again. You’re ready for a change—to feel like yourself again, confidently navigate these transitions, reconnect with what matters, and find peace in the life you’re building.

Imagine feeling like yourself again.

We’ll start by exploring what’s contributing to your stress—whether it’s a life transition, feeling stuck, or managing overwhelming emotions. Together, we’ll uncover the root of the problem and identify practical solutions to move forward.

You’ll learn tools to manage stress, build emotional balance, and regain a sense of control. As you practice these skills, life will feel more manageable, and you’ll feel more grounded, even during uncertain times.

During our sessions you can expect to begin to feel lighter, more balanced, and connected to what truly matters. You’ll know therapy is working when you feel confident navigating life’s challenges, equipped with the tools to thrive.

Life doesn’t have to feel overwhelming; let's work together to bring back your peace of mind.
